Installation

Most users do not need this page. If you are using the hosted cloud, you can skip installation and go straight to the Quick Start.

Choose the setup that matches your environment. Most teams start with the hosted cloud, while regulated teams often self-host.

Option 1: Cloud (fastest)

1. Create an account and workspace.
2. Create a project and repository.
3. Generate an API key (Settings -> External API Users).
4. Add at least one provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure, etc.).

You can now call the gateway immediately.

Option 2: Self-hosted (Docker)

Prerequisites

• Docker and Docker Compose
• Postgres 14+ (local or managed)
• An HTTPS domain for production deployments

Quick start

# Clone the repo and configure env
cp .env.example .env

# Start services
docker compose up -d

# Verify health
curl http://localhost:3000/api/health

Recommended environment variables

APP_URL=https://your-domain.com
DATABASE_URL=postgresql://USER:PASSWORD@HOST:5432/veriprompt
NEXT_PUBLIC_DOCS_URL=https://www.veriprompt.tech/docs

Verify installation

Use the health endpoint and the gateway execute endpoint:
